"White Noise/White Light" was an interactive sound and light installation created by MIT Professor J. Meejin Yoon for the Athens 2004 Olympics. Meejin Yoon used fiber optics supplied by Del Lighting to create an interactive fiber optic field that would respond the the movement of people. White light from LEDs and white noise from speakers below the deck are emitted as people moved through the field. Del-lighting provided consulation on the fiber optic portion of the installation. The project was recently re-installaed on MIT campus for 6 days. |
